Santa Rosa Porch
A screened porch and pool terrace rebuilt as the main living room of a gulf-side house.
In this climate the porch is not an amenity — it is where the house happens. We rebuilt the screened volume with a painted wood ceiling, a fan that actually moves air, and furniture that can take wet bathing suits.
The pool terrace was relaid in limestone so the indoor rooms and the outdoor ones share a floor. Dusk is the hour this project was designed for.
